The MINI cooper came in 1st runner up in the interior catagorie. Only surpassed by the Ford Thunderbird. I like the MINI better. Even though I work for the floor supplier of the Thunderbird.

The article appears in the Auto Interiors June/July 2002 issue. This is what they had to say:

THUMBS UP
The funky design is fun and refreshing. The circle theme is carried through the interior with the front-and-center speedometer as a focal point. The toggle-switch like controls for lights, power windows and locks remind the driver of the Cooper's racing past.

THUMBS DOWN
Although it's meant for four passengers, we don't recommend sitting in the back unless you are under 5 feet tall.

"WOW" FACTOR
The funky design is bloody marvelous! It makes one fall in love with everything British, including international spy Austin Powers, whose father drives a Mini in the latest movie.
